The world's first G-Class Experience Center outside of Graz, Austria, has opened in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China. Covering an area of over 1,000 square metres, this experience center offers an ideal place to experience the charm and fun of off-road. Today, let's take a look at this ideal off-road center online to explore its lighting secrets.

1

Turn star light into illumination

Mercedes-Benz's LOGO is composed of star light. And in the ceiling of the experience center, the changing star light is imitated to create a starry sky. Star-like lights are "carved" in the ceiling of the experience center, which gradually change between dark and light. The Mercedes-Benz logo elements are extended into the space by means of light.

The lighting effect is as natural as breathing and requires smooth and delicate dimming to present realistic "star glows".The ceiling lights are dimmed using LTECH DALI intelligent drivers, which feature LTECH's pioneering T-PWM super depth dimming technology, and allow 0.01% dimming depth. The dimming is smooth and delicate with no flicker across the range, complying with the IEEE1789 standard and reaching the high-frequency exemption level. The lighting highlights the yellow eye-attracting G-class off-road car which is like a bold adventurer, reaching the top of a desired mountain after a long journey and then embarking on his journey to see the stars and the sea.

2

Light up the time tunnel

Stepping into the historical wall area is like walking into a time machine tunnel that leads to the past and future: 44 years of the extraordinary history of G-class off-road cars are displayed on the ultra-wide interactive screen. Many models of classic G-class off-road cars are in order, moving over mountains in the miniature landscape. It gives us a feeling that G-class off-road cars gave us strength and are with us to get through those tough time. As the story and timeline gets extended, lighting slowly led the guests to move forward and read about the development history of off-road cars.

The experience center either creates an immersive off-road scene or presents the story of off-road cars. In different spaces, light plays different roles. LTECH DALI drivers are suitable for Class I, II, III indoor lamps, which well fit diverse dimming scenarios and allow designers to unleash their creativity and to give a different color to the space with lighting.

3

Appreciate the aesthetics of customized accessories

Customize car paint, matching leather seats, dashboards and steering wheels and so on. G-Box, a multisensory interactive device in the customization area, guests can immersively customize and "own" the personalized G-class off-road cars. The lighting atmosphere and the right embellishments allow off-road enthusiasts to appreciate the detailed aesthetics of off-road up close.
